Hello I’m Ben

I’m a freelance marketing consultant and content writer based in Bristol, UK. I’m happy to work with clients anywhere.

I'm Chartered Institute of Marketing and CIPD qualified and have worked in marketing, HR and communications roles across a 30 year career.

My experience

I spent my earlier career working in big creative agencies and consultancy businesses in Bristol and London. Since 2009 I’ve been an independent marketing consultant, helping clients increase their visibility and reach more of their ideal customers.

Across my career I’ve been a business developer, account director and copywriter. My consultancy work has evolved into a combination of marketing planning, content writing, LinkedIn visibility and on-going support to keep marketing momentum going.

I enjoy marketing services that seek to make organisations great places to work. I have a strong ‘people, employer branding and L&D’ background and am experienced in working with clients in these sectors in particular:

My testimonials page will give you a good idea who I work with and what they have to say. I work flexibly to meet demand but most clients need help each month. I am happy working in your office or remotely from my home in Bristol - a mix often works well.

Qualifications

Although it's experience that really counts, I do have a few certificates to put on the wall. I did the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in the 90's and, unusually for a marketer, I've also worked in HR. Outside of work I’m a keen guitarist, gardener and traveller.
